In the short film Joyride there are different stages to how the narrative is revealed. The set up stage is shown when the audience sees the electrician on the phone we see that he is not interested in fixing the transformer so he drives off and leaves it without being fixed.
The second stage is confrontation this is seen when the electrician steps out of the car as he has seen there is a body on the floor; we then see that it is a trick to steal his car and the antagonists hit him over the head with an axe.
The final stage is the resolution this is when the car hits into a tree leaving the antagonists unconscious which helps the electrician escape to stay with the police.
